The Church in the Square at the Heart of the Community
We are turning the Uppermill Methodist Church buildings into a community space for generations to come, and we need your help.
The main church building will be where it all happens: uniformed groups; toddler groups; adult groups and classes; music rehearsals and concerts; community support hub; worship of all types . . . Could you help with this refurbishment? Do you have skills, or an interest in building, communication, marketing, design, fundraising, finance, running a community facility?
Bearing in mind, these community hub plans for the church, and the resources available to the church trustees, we will need a partner to take the lead in the funding and repurposing of the old schoolrooms at the rear (the current Methodist Centre).
Do you have ideas about what this part of the building could be used for: a retreat centre? a health centre: a business hub? community workshops? community-led accommodation? private accommodation?
Could you help to shape the vision?
