Uppermill Methodist Church provides a traditional range of Sacraments to our whole community. We offer these services to our church members and non members alike. Arrangements can be flexible to ensure you get the special event you wish.

Weddings

Your wedding day is one of the most memorable days in the life of two people. And Uppermill Methodist Church would be honoured to be your wedding service venue.

We work with you to make it your day. A moment in time that brings together two people, and their friends and families, into sacred space – for God’s blessing.

We believe that people should enter in to marriage for life, but of course recognise that sometimes marriages break up, and the resultant divorcees may wish to marry someone else.

Baptism or Christening

At the Sacrament of Baptism we acknowledge, before the assembled congregation, that we belong to God, that he loves us and claims us as His own. By Baptism we become a member of ‘the body of Christ’ – the church.

When a baby or young child is baptised their parents commit themselves to nurture their child in the Christian faith within the Church Family

When an adult is baptised, they make a public commitment to follow Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and to become an active member of the Christian Church.

Funerals

If you are responsible for arranging a funeral and would like it to take place in church either you or your funeral director can contact the Minister to make the necessary arrangements.
