Our Community

Pastoral Care

All members of the Church Family are linked up with a Pastoral Visitor who keeps in contact with them and offers support where needed.

Giving and Donations

The Church is supported mainly by personal giving through the offertory plates, the envelope scheme or by standing order and supplemented by tax refunded through Gift Aid. A copy of the accounts is displayed on the notice board in the Methodist Centre

If you are a UK tax payer, through Gift Aid, UMC can claim back 28p from the Inland Revenue for every £1 given. All we need is for you to complete and sign a Gift Aid Declaration and hand it in to one of our Church Stewards.

How We Communicate

Every Sunday, except during August, notice sheets are given out with the hymn books. These sheets keep us informed of events and meetings taking place in the coming week and of future events for our diaries.

On the sheet are the names and telephone numbers of the people to contact if you wish to place an item into the notices.

A monthly Newsletter is also produced and circulated by the Pastoral Visitors. This provides information about the Church Family and wider issues.

A quarterly Church Preaching Plan is available. These can be found in the Information Racks in the church porch, Coffee Lounge and corridor of Methodist Centre.
