… to become a thriving, God-centred, Christian presence in the heart of our community.
Following a review, our Church is committed to establishing and pursuing the structural changes needed to achieve our vision. We are seeking to do this through our Vision Groups, focused on: Worship, Sharing our Faith, Learning & Caring, Service and our Building.
The Background
John Wareham from TCC (Transforming Churches & Communities) led an in-depth review of all aspects of the life of our church. He presented the report to the Church Council and made it clear that:

if we take no action, the church will close in 5 to 10 years.

if we make a few superficial changes, we might make it last a year or two longer.

if we use the report to create and put into practice a robust action plan, the church has the potential to grow and flourish.
Everyone was invited to a Discussion Day at Greenfield Methodist Church on March 2nd. Thirty one people attended and many ideas and suggestions to improve and develop the life of our church were put forward. These ideas have been collated as the basis of an Action Plan which will need short, medium and long term goals
