Prayers for September

We pray for the Transforming Churches and Communities initiative that we will be beginning in the church, remembering especially John Wareham who will be leading our thinking and preparations.

We remember the TCC steering group that will meeting regularly with John, and those who will have other vital roles to play in helping us to move forward.

We give thanks for the arrival of our new Superintendent Minister, Rev. Ian Heath, in the exercise of his ministry. We also remember his wife Gill, and we pray for them both as they settle into a new home that they will find appreciation, support and encouragement.

We also pray for all ministers who will be moving on to new circuits this September and those who will be retiring from active ministry. We continue to remember Rev. Darren Holland and his family in his appointment with the URC church.

We pray for the new Café Church service staring at the Reclamation Room (formerly Scona) on Lee Street on Sunday 10th September at 4.00pm, and for Gary and Debbie who will be leading it.

We pray for those leading our harvest service on the 24th September, offering their gifts and talents  for a meaningful act of worship on this special occasion

.

We ask God’s blessing on all in our community who work to bring health, wellbeing and support to those who need it, remembering especially, GP’s, paramedics, health visitors, district nurses, physiotherapists and others.
